
Wild Rose 2 Wind Farm
Project Overview
The Wild Rose 2 Wind Farm is a 192 MW renewable energy facility currently in construction by Capstone. The project is located in Cypress County, Alberta, approximately 30 km southeast of Medicine Hat. Capstone acquired the project from NaturEner Canada Inc. in November 2021.
Regulatory approval was obtained for all 38 proposed turbines and is held by Wild Rose 2 Wind Inc., a subsidiary of Capstone and the project is in the final stages of construction.
Capstone has secured two offtake agreements to sell the power and environmental attributes generated by the Project to Pembina Pipeline and City of Edmonton.

Wild Rose 2 Wind will require a capital investment of hundreds of millions for the Alberta economy and create hundreds of direct jobs during construction.

Zero Emissions
When completed, the facility will avoid an estimated 285,000 MTCO2e at the start of commercial operation. and generate enough power for approximately 85,000 average Alberta homes each year
